The art of FULLY switching off on holiday - why it's hard and how to actually do it

After last week’s episode where I shared why I chose to rest instead of going full steam ahead with my big Time to Thrive launch (and how incredibly liberating that was), I had the most gorgeous response from so many of you. It felt like a collective exhale - a reminder that rest can be the win.

And with summer holidays fast approaching, this week I want to talk about something a lot of us say we’re going to do… but secretly struggle with:

Switching off on holiday.

Not just closing the laptop. Not just putting on your out-of-office.
I mean really switching off - mentally, emotionally, digitally.

And let’s be honest - most of us know by now that this is way harder than it sounds. Our phones are always within reach. The to-do list is still buzzing in our heads. And even when we look like we’re relaxing - lying by the pool with a book by our side - we’re often still semi-plugged in.

Half-checking emails. Half-thinking about work. Half-scrolling, half-resting.

And when that happens, we don’t get the real benefits of switching off. We don’t drop down into that deeper place where the magic happens - where we truly rest, reset, and reconnect with ourselves.

And so that is what this Pep-Talk is all about.
